Petri Rouvinen

Petri Rouvinen is a research director at ETLA, The Research Institute of the Finnish Economy, and CEO of ETLA’s subsidiary Etlatieto Oy. He earned his PhD in Economics from the Vanderbilt University (USA) in 2000. In 2004–5 he was a Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute (Italy) and in 2010–11 a visiting scholar at IIASA, International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (Austria). Mr Rouvinen has published over twenty scholarly articles and authored or co-authored fourteen books. His professional interests include digitalization, entrepreneurship, globalization, and innovation. He has served as an expert in the projects of the EU, OECD, UNU/WIDER, and the World Bank. He represents Finland in the global competitiveness programs of IMD and the World Economic Forum.
